Joining the C-Suite of X1 will be Abhi Pabba, formerly Apple Card’s head of credit, and Kieran Brady, former chief executive of Barclays, to solidify X1 as the best challenger credit card on the market.

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Map X1 (x1.co), the smartest credit card ever, announced that former Apple Card executive Abhi Pabba and former Barclays executive Kieran Brady have been named Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer, respectively. company as X1 rolls out to the general public today. Prior to joining X1 as Chief Risk Officer, Abhi Pabba was Head of Credit at Apple Inc.’s Apple Card. He will be responsible for extending X1’s innovative underwriting strategy to hundreds of thousands of cardholders. Unlike other cards, X1 is not solely based on credit score. Instead, it analyzes a combination of income and credit history, which helps approve applicants who don’t have a long credit history and set credit limits of up to 5 times. higher than traditional cards.

During his time at Apple, Pabba helped make Apple Card a rapidly growing company and brought new innovations in credit strategies. At Capital One, Pabba was an analyst leading the credit function for the $3 billion credit card authorization program, where he provided one of the program’s biggest growth drivers while building a graduation strategy for underserved credit card customers.

Kieran Brady, who will join the position of chief financial officer, was until recently chief financial officer of Newport Group, where he led finance, accounting, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions. Brady led Newport’s successful growth strategy through multiple M&A transactions and ultimately the merger with Ascensus in April 2022.

Prior to Newport Group, Brady served as Chief Financial Officer at Earnest, where he was responsible for building the finance team and the operational infrastructure of the organization. Under Brady’s leadership, Earnest became the largest student loan refinancer in the United States, originating billions of dollars in loans, and was acquired by Navient in 2017.

Previously, Brady was Managing Director of Barclays Capital, where he advised and executed a wide range of transactions involving consumer and commercial businesses and founded the Barclays fintech practice in 2010. Brady began his career as an aerospace engineer before moving on to Wall Street.
