TORONTO – Design firm Cecconi Simone Inc. shaped a new look and image for Classic Creations when the more than four-decade-old jewelry store moved to a more frequented location.
The Toronto-based designer has created a luxurious and timeless backdrop, but with a streamlined display area, a warm black-and-white color palette, and rose-gold metal accents for a pop of color.
“Jewelry stores can traditionally feel overloaded with brands and products competing for attention,” said Anna Simone, director of Cecconi Simone. “Our challenge was to create a simple and minimalist visual style, emphasizing the stunning jewelry on display. The result is sophisticated but not intimidating – and makes the jewel the star.
The displays for the 3,500 square foot space were manufactured by Unique Store Fixtures of Vaughan, Ontario. Custom wood and glass cases create continuity while treating jewelry like art in a gallery. Rose gold-tone metal adds spice to display cases and accent lighting. Artistic screens stand out against a white-on-white monochrome background.
“The space is luxurious but not overwhelming, and respects the fact that people have different ways of shopping,” said Simone. “We designed it to give everyone the chance to interact as they feel most comfortable.”
